About Kate
Yoga teacher, dancer, mother, mystic.
Kate teaches yoga from deep in the heart, with love, and with the sole intention to help her students shine their lights bright.
This is not a quiet, straightforward process. This is not “alone time”. This is a vibrant physical practice with laughter, tears, self-reflection and an inevitable, resulting compassion for yourself and the people who surround you on their mats. By connecting with the eternal flame of the heart, we relax into our true nature and can awaken to a natural, easy connection to every aspect of ourselves, and others. This is transformative work – not for the faint hearted. But it is work for the half-hearted, and the broken- hearted, on the way to wholeness.
Kate’s love of community is tangible. It comes from her deep, wild love of of humanity, of life itself. It is most potent in her work with new mothers-to-be, as she guides them fearlessly within to seek the formation of a grounding, lasting bond between their own heart and the baby growing in their bellies.
As a Senior Yoga Australia teacher, Kate sat on the committee of Yoga Australia for three years. In Perth she runs a popular two-year teacher training program and runs two large yoga schools – Fremantle Yoga Centre and Off the Wall.
Kate has four kids of her own and is known to local mums as the ‘baby whisperer’. Fertility is her area of special interest and she helps many women as a Yoga Birthing Doula, has trained and inspired many teachers and presented on this topic at yoga conferences in Australia and on international training programs.
Kate’s commitment to be of service to her community is her passion, and she loves helping her students to open their hearts and shine their lights bright.
